Our Jewelry Selection

How We Choose

Our showroom is home to Chattanooga's largest selection of jewelry for both fresh and healed piercings. We feature some of the body piercing industry's most dedicated and sought-after designers, as well as smaller, newer, and “hidden gem” designers who meet our and industry standards of safety and excellence. Essentially, all of our jewelry is crafted in North America by designers with whom we maintain a personal relationship.

Some of our featured jewelers include: Anatometal, NeoMetal, BVLA, Dusk Body Jewelry, LeRoi, Tawapa, Buddha Jewelry, Gorilla Glass, Pupil Hall, Maya Jewelry, Modern Mood, Tether, Origins Handmade, Body Circle Designs, Quetzalli

We offer jewelry made from solid 14-karat and 18-karat white/yellow/rose gold, platinum, ASTM F-136 implant-grade titanium, niobium, and lead-free borosilicate glass as some of our more common options, as well as some natural stone, wood, and other organic materials for healed piercings.

Any jewelry we use in a fresh piercing is nickel-free, and wherever applicable, meets ASTM standards for permanent implantation into the body — as well as exceeding the Association of Professional Piercers' criteria for jewelry quality.

Lifetime Guarantee

Almost every piece in our studio also comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturers’ defects. If something breaks, cracks, chips, or discolors, our jewelers are happy to repair the piece if it was due to an error in manufacturing.

This means the jewelry you purchase from us is made from the safest, most hypoallergenic materials available, and will stand the test of time — it should always look as good as the day you fell in love with it.

Please note, jewelry cannot be exchanged or returned, as all items must be assumed worn/used. Items excluded from the lifetime manufacturing guarantee include chains, natural stone plugs / weights, glass, brass, ceramics, plating, and anodization. This guarantee also does not protect from loss or issues occurring from alterations, modifications, or damages the manufacturer determines to be outside general wear & tear.

Custom Orders, Curations

If for any reason you don’t see the perfect piece in our showroom, we will do our best to make magic happen for you. Because we have a personal relationship with all of our jewelers, creating the perfect custom piece for you should never be a problem.

We provide curations and consultations for your piercings, whether for existing or future piercings; we love helping to decide placements, color schemes, or exact pieces to create your perfect look!

  • A stud (such as what is used in a nostril, lobe, helix, lip, etc.) usually starts around $30 in implant-grade titanium, though can range up to a few hundred each. For solid gold fronts, these begin at $85 and may range to several hundred per piece.

A circular barbell (aka “horseshoe”) will start around $70, and range according to the exact style and material.

In solid gold, these generally begin at approximately $300 and may range to several thousand depending on the ornateness and stones.

In solid gold, these often start around $500 (or $1000 for a pair), and may go into several thousand depending on stones or ornateness.

Jewelry Guide: Styles and Changing Your Jewelry

Threadless, or “push-pin”: an end, such as design or ball, with a thin wire-like pin that snaps into a hollow post or bar. This will be removed by pulling both ends of the jewelry away from each other. The pin should have a small, very slight bend in order to hold it in place inside the post.

This is our most common type of jewelry.

Internally threaded (never externally threaded for your safety): a piece with at least one end, such as a design or ball, with a “screw” that winds into a hollow post or bar. This design may need to be checked regularly to ensure it is still threaded tightly. To remove, you can use the concept of “righty-tighty, lefty-loosy”.

These pieces are common for thicker pieces of jewelry, such as navel piercings, nipple and genital piercings, “horseshoes” (circulars), and curved bars.

If your jewelry is not freely rotating, the threads may not be aligned. Simply unscrew the piece and begin again making sure both parts are lined up. Note: Never force thread patterns, as this can misalign or damage the threads, especially in solid gold pieces!

Externally threaded pieces will have the threading (the “screw” portion) on the bar/post portion of the jewelry. These can (and will) scratch your piercing channel as it guides through and is generally an immediate indication the jewelry is of a poor quality in both material and polish. You deserve the best to be put inside your body!

Captive ring: A bead or gem is held with tension. Usually with this center accent also has indentations or dimples to affix it between the ring securely. It does not screw into place.

Hinge or "clicker” ring: The design opens and closes with a special section of the ring that snaps while remaining attached to the ring.

Seam (aka "continuous” ring) & Fixed bead/accent ring: Some are sometimes called a “seamless” because they are made to look as seamless as possible. These should be torqued opened in an “S” shape rather than pulling apart from the opening; pulling straight apart can warp and damage the ring. The ring should be closed completely to ensure it does not have a gap inside your piercing, which can cause many problems including the closure of your piercing.
