Paperwork: You can complete your paperwork before your appointment here. No need to print!
Consults + shopping only: If we are not changing jewelry or performing a piercing, you do not need to do paperwork.
More than one service: If you are doing both a jewelry change and a piercing(s), you only need to fill out the piercing release (but please write in all services)!
Jewelry is a separate cost from the service fee and varies widely. A range of pricing can be found here or by contacting the studio.
If you wish to use previously worn jewelry for a new piercing, there are some stipulations. The jewelry cannot belong to or be previously worn by anyone except you. It must also come from our studio or another jewelry supplier that meets our same quality standards. The part of the jewelry that passes through your skin cannot have been previously worn under any circumstance. For example, we can use a threaded or threadless end on the front of a stud, but cannot reuse the post that goes through the piercing, even if it came from our studio and has only been worn by you. This is because biofilm (a matrix of microorganisms) is present on worn jewelry, although it’s not visible to the naked eye, and no amount of cleaning can fully remove this biofilm from surfaces.
To reuse an end on a new piercing, there is a processing fee of $25 or more if there are multiple pieces, and we would also require you drop off said jewelry at least one day prior to your appointment. This gives us time to soak your jewelry in an enzymatic surfactant, physically clean, and autoclave your jewelry. Because this is a somewhat involved and time-consuming process, we cannot reprocess worn jewelry during business hours. We deeply appreciate your understanding of these policy we have in place to keep both you and our team safe.
(Gentle reminder that because we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, if your appointment is on a Wednesday, jewelry would have to be dropped off on or before the Sunday before your appointment.)
IDs: You must arrive with proper ID(s) physically present, even if you are a returning client or did your form before arrival.
Adults (18+): Government-issued photo ID that isn’t expired (driver’s license, state ID, passport, etc.)
A list of examples are listed here.
Minors: parent/guardian must have BOTH the above ID AND a legal document that proves minor’s age and guardianship (must have both the minor’s name & parent/guardian’s name and the child’s DOB)
This usually means a birth certificate OR court documents proving guardianship.
We cannot accept passports, social security cards, school documents, etc.
If you have been exposed to or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please contact us regarding your appointment.
For appointments for piercings and jewelry changes for areas in and around the mouth (lip, tongue, cheek, etc.) and nose (nostril, septum), you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test. Please check our homepage for current requirements. If you book for this service but cannot provide any of the required documents, you risk being charged a late cancellation fee, and we will not do the service.
Arrival time: To reduce your wait time and the wait times of others, please try to arrive on time, neither early nor late.
Groups: Only three people are allowed in a group, regardless of age or relationship. We recommend you come to your appointment alone if possible.
Jewelry prices vary greatly and are separate from our service fees. We do not accept outside jewelry for new piercings for everyone’s safety. To see our pricing overview, visit our pricing guide or contact us to get estimates.
To prep for a piercing, we recommend —
eating something to get your blood sugar up;
avoiding drugs, alcohol, and blood thinning substances unless directed by your doctor; and
checking that you have all your necessary IDs and documents (and possibly your mask and any COVID-19 info if needed!).
